The iPhone 4S Is Out!

source: Mashable

The wait for the new iPhone 4S is finally over, and many already have their hands on one. With the biggest pre-order sales Apple has ever seen, and many stores already selling out this morning, it’s bound to be Apple’s biggest launch yet.

In the spirit of the product launch, Steve Wozniak (the co-founder of Apple) hopped in line at his local Apple Store in California to pick up his own. Being the co-founder of Apple, he of course could get an iPhone pretty much any way he would want, but he says that he enjoys the buzz and excitement of waiting in line to get one.

As Wozniak got to the store he tweeted “The long wait begins. I’m first in line. The guy ahead was on the wrong side and he’s pissed”. This isn’t the first time that he’s done this, though. He has waited in line for Apple products for most of their launches, and has enjoyed meeting all of the Apple fans and signing their Apple devices.

On the other side of the country, in New York, a couple has waited outside the Apple Store for 17 DAYS. They’ve been recording their experiences through Twitter, and have survived the storms to lay claim to their “first in line” status. They even turned down $1,500 for their spot!

Did you wait in line to get your hands on an iPhone 4S? Do you have any good Apple Launch stories? Let me know in the comments! Maybe I’ll even add it to a post!

  1. I and also my guys came checking out the excellent pointers from your site and all of a sudden I got a terrible feeling I had not thanked the website owner for those secrets. All of the young boys were warmed to study them and have in effect actually been having fun with them. I appreciate you for genuinely well considerate and also for deciding upon this sort of brilliant areas most people are really eager to know about. My honest apologies for not expressing appreciation to you sooner.

I have waited in line for almost EVERY Apple Product launch (except for the ones that I was working at Apple). It’s always so much fun, and a great experience, and you get to meet a lot of fun people that share similar interests to you. My two funniest moments at Apple Launches are:

One was when I was in line for the iPhone 4. The Apple Employees often bring around stacks and water to the customers in line, and when they were doing that the lady behind me goes “I don’t want no damn cookies and rice cakes, I just want my damn iPhone”.

The second one was when I was working the iPad launch, and I was in charge of line control throughout the mall. One lady in the mall walks up to me and asks “What’s this line for? Are ya’ll givin’ away puppies?”.
